By correlating real time condition data with component behavior, participants will learn how to identify emerging failure indicators before they escalate. The presentation highlights methods to prevent unplanned shutdowns, increase equipment reliability, and significantly extend the mean time between compressor stops.
In addition, selected case studies will be presented to show how targeted diagnostic techniques have successfully prevented critical failures, further improved equipment reliability, and extended the mean time between compressor stops."

From Lab to Application – Transferring Fundamentals in High Pressure Polymerization TechnologyListenelement 4
"The enormous scale of LDPE plants makes it difficult to develop new products and processes directly on the production line. To make this possible nonetheless, it often makes sense to break down an idea into smaller sub-questions and test them in the laboratory. In this workshop, we will demonstrate this approach for three specific areas:
• Mini Plants: These are useful for generating kinetic data to characterize processes and products or for testing the efficiency of peroxide cocktails.
• Pilot Studies: These allow for the introduction of new substances into the process and the study of their effects.
• Deflagration studies: These provide a better understanding of the gentle operation of plants and enable the estimation of shifts in operating limits resulting from the introduction of new substances."
